Community Power in an Age of Precariousness

How we bring together communities to help them win.

Precarity fragments. When people are juggling zero-hours contracts, unaffordable rent, and the constant scramble to make ends meet, there's less time for meetings. Less energy for campaigns. Less capacity to build the collective power that could change things.

The organising challenge

Progressive organisations have felt this acutely. Trade union membership has declined. Community groups struggle to sustain engagement. The constituencies that could drive change have become harder to reach—not because people don't care, but because the structures of precarious life make collective action difficult.

Rebuilding coalitions

We don't accept this as inevitable. Our work focuses on rebuilding the coalitions that can win: connecting housing campaigners with trade unionists, migrant rights groups with community organisers. We support organising that starts from people's lived experience—and we help build the infrastructure that makes sustained collective action possible.

Change doesn't happen without organisation. And organisation doesn't happen without investment. That's what we're here for.
